Overgrown Slope Cleared Down to Clean, Open Ground

Some yards don't need a redesign - they need a reset. When plants take over a slope like this and push right up against the house, the whole space starts to feel out of control. Dense shrubs, sprawling ground cover, tangled branches. It all adds up fast.

Here's what we were working with: a heavily overgrown bed running along the side of the house, packed tight with overgrown shrubs, spreading ground cover, and years of unchecked growth. The kind of situation where you can't really plan anything new until the old stuff is out of the way.

We got in there and cleared it all out - cutting down, pulling roots, and hauling everything off the slope. Landscape cleanups like this are physical work. It's not just trimming a few branches. When plants have been left to run wild on a grade, you're dealing with root systems, compacted debris, and sometimes invasive species that have quietly taken over the bed without the homeowner even realizing it.

What's left is open ground and a view that was completely hidden before. Now there's actual soil to work with. The homeowner can put in exactly what they want - whether that's new plantings, ground cover that stays in bounds, or just a cleaner, lower-maintenance setup along that side of the house.
