New Lawn Installation in a Canadian Backyard Paradise

We get asked sometimes why we love what we do. Jobs like this one are the answer. This backyard sits on the island, and if you haven't seen it in person, it's genuinely hard to believe a place this beautiful exists in Canada. Palm trees, blue skies, warm sun - it has a feel that's more tropical resort than Canadian suburb.

The yard needed a full lawn installation, and that starts with getting the ground right. Before any seed or sod ever touches the surface, the soil has to be properly worked and leveled. You can see the fresh, dark topsoil spread across the entire space - mounded and graded so water drains correctly and the lawn has every advantage from day one.

This is the part of landscape installation most people don't think about. The prep work is everything. A lawn installed on poorly graded or compacted ground will show problems within a season or two - uneven growth, drainage issues, soft spots. Getting the base right is how you avoid all of that.

We took care of the full site cleanup and soil prep before laying the groundwork for the new lawn. The existing palms and garden beds were worked around carefully - you don't disturb established trees if you don't have to. Everything was smoothed out and made ready so the install could go in clean.

This one is almost done and we can't wait to see the finished result. There's something genuinely satisfying about turning a torn-up yard into something the homeowner gets to enjoy every day - especially in a setting this special.
