Some hedges are just a weekend DIY job. And then there are hedges like this one. Tall, dense, running the full length of a garden border - the kind that requires a proper ladder, the right equipment, and someone who knows what they're doing at height.

That's exactly what Isaiah tackled here. Working up a full extended ladder with a power trimmer, he worked his way along this substantial conifer hedge to bring it back to clean, defined lines. This isn't just about aesthetics either. Regular pruning like this encourages denser, healthier growth and stops the hedge from getting so wide it starts crowding everything around it.

What we love about a job like this is the difference it makes to the whole garden. Sharp hedge lines give the entire space a sense of order. The lawn looks neater, the border planting stands out more, and the whole yard just feels more intentional. It's one of those things where the hedge was probably fine before - but once it's trimmed properly, you can't unsee how much better everything looks.

Hedge trimming at this scale is also genuinely physical work. Getting consistent, level lines across a tall hedge from a ladder, section by section, takes patience and a good eye. Isaiah did a great job keeping it even and tight all the way along.

If you've got hedges that have been slowly creeping out of control, we're happy to help. Whether it's one large run or a whole garden full of shrubs that need some attention, proper hedge trimming and pruning makes a bigger difference than most people expect.
