This is the kind of work we love stepping back from. A freshly installed garden bed with a good mix of textures - ornamental grasses, hostas, lavender, catmint, ferns - all settled into fresh dark mulch and given room to grow. It's intentional. Every plant placed with purpose.
A lot of front yard gardens end up looking either too sparse or too chaotic. Getting that balance right takes planning. We spend real time thinking about how plants will look not just on day one, but a year from now, two years from now. The goal is a space that fills in naturally and looks better with age.
We also pay close attention to the soil. Healthy mulch isn't just aesthetic - it holds moisture, regulates temperature, and cuts down on weeding over time. That's a big deal for homeowners who want a beautiful yard without a lot of ongoing maintenance.
What we ended up with here is a layered, textured garden that works with the existing trees and shrubs rather than fighting them. The purple blooms, the golden grass, the deep green groundcovers - it all ties together without looking overdone.
This is exactly the kind of garden installation we enjoy doing. One where the client is genuinely happy with the finished space, and we know it's going to keep getting better as everything settles in and fills out.
